Introduction¶
Goals and key features of Go60¶
Go60 is designed first and foremost to be the best travel ergonomic keyboard we can make. The focus is a balance of travel-friendliness and ergonomics.
To this end, Go60 has the following features:
- Optimized physical key layout with aggressive pinky stagger: instead of uniform choc spacing or MX spacing, we decided on a hybrid spacing to maximize comfort and reachability
- Integrated dual 40mm touchpads: to eliminate the need to take a separate mouse/trackball on the road and to improve the ergonomics by minimizing hand movements
- Tenting: optional 6-step travel-friendly tenting solution
- Thin: reduce the need for palm rests and make traveling easier
- Bluetooth LE wireless: to eliminate the need for wires and to simplify setup while on the road
- Fully-wired option: connectivity with USB to the host computer and with a TRRS cable between the two halves to provide an essential backup solution when the environment is BLE hostile (such as some conference venues) or when the battery is flat. A special firmware option can disable BLE entirely, if the Go60 is in an environment where wireless communication such as Bluetooth LE is prohibited
- Short travel and silent key switches: MoErgo's exclusive silent key switches (with the exception of the white clicky switch) are cushioned and have short-travel for typing comfort, and designed to allow you to work where noise is not tolerated
- Key switch hotswapping: allows the user to change and mix-and-match different types of keyswitches without soldering
- POM keycaps: for incredible typefeel
- Compact travel case: the smallest off-the-shelf travel solution for a split ergonomic keyboard
- An optional Palm Rest with natural walnut palm rest and integrated tenting
- An optional Mounting Puck for custom mounting and high-angle mounting

A look at Go60¶
Go60 is a split keyboard, consisting of a left half and a right half.
The left half is called the Central in ZMK vocabulary and acts as the “brain” of Go60. When connected to a host like a PC or a phone the connection is always made with the left half. The right half is the Peripheral in ZMK vocabulary.
When connecting Go60 to a host with a USB cable, the USB cable must be plugged into the left half. When Go60 is connected to the host via Bluetooth Low Energy (BT Low Energy or BLE), the left half is the half that is talking to the host wirelessly. To select which host Go60 connects to, whether through USB or BLE, please see Connecting Go60 to host devices.
The left half communicates with the right half either through a Bluetooth Low Energy connection, or through a TRRS cable. Go60 will automatically switch the communication mode of left half-right half communication, depending on the presence of the TRRS cable. Please see the section Wired split and wireless split.
- Power button: For switching off power. Please note that it is still possible to charge the battery even when powered off.
- USB port: For connecting to the host (left half only), updating firmware, and battery charging.
- TRRS port: For connecting to the other half.
- Red indicator LED: For indicating bootloader status
- Tenting bar location pins: For attaching Tenting bars
- Palm Rest / Mounting Puck location pins: For attaching optional optional Palm Rest or Mounting Puck
